Media Minded (Wake Up)
In todays World, one has to be mindful of The Competitive Nature of The Media. They are more often than not anxious to get their Story Line to air first @ 5:00PM. News Driven Story Lines often are sensational, and their is a certain Media Spin to The Story Line that gains a Captive Audience. In many instances, this sensationalism is some form of controversy, real or Media Driven. This Blog offers a forum of discussion to address this area.. What do you Think ?

I think the media nowadays does more harm that they do good. They glamorize negativity on a daily basis. This is what happens when you live in a world where the corporate dollar contols the information we receive..WAKE UP PEOPLE

Corporate and Political Agendas does influence to a large extent what is often a Subject of Broadcast. One way of curbing this trend is to simply turn Your Sets Off, or go to another station or channel for Your News, Sports and Weather. We often observe those things that are Media Driven, however, we need to be mindful of those things that are Demand Driven.

Of course the Media is a very influential medium. They are to be credible in everything it does..in everyway possible while being neutral. How can we do this you ask? Easy. We are the Media…we don’t want just a story, we want A Package! We are Entertainment. We capture the ills of society, exposing big business practices to presenting The best and worst restraunts in town. I dont know about you…I’d rather be informed about the restraunts…Conglamurate take overs and Big business deals are an integral part of this country- its part of “The American Dream” and the media brings this to us everyday. It has brought us uneeded information such as the life and times of Britney Spears to the untold stories of ‘The American Gangter’. From the National Enquirer to Playboy…It’s Entertainment…and its what thousands and people tune into daily.
If we had more noteworthy news stories that capture the need for change in America rather than those that just ‘ Tell a Story ‘, more people would turn on and tune in to a something that is not just entertaining but one that has Integrity and is responsible to our society. Yes, stations are influenced by Political agendas to a large extent but so are your neighboorhood church. (I know I struck a nerve with someone there). Is there any part of our society that is not influenced by something?
Be responsible for what you hear, be responsible for what your children hear and see (including those BET drop it like its hot videos). Learn to decern (decipher) what’s real and what’s not. The media has a responsbility to report the truth however you as an individual have the God given ability to use your better judgement about what you hear and the actions you take.

My company only focus on the truth and it’s very hard finding the truth. That’s why some people might just change the truth up a little to complete a story. It’s not right ,but it happens! My writers and freelance writers only get paid for all positive and true story. My company will never promote negativity. We go deep into the community to find our stories . We meet everyday people with great stories to be told. We focus on helping the local businesses in the community. All media companies are not bad it’s just a few that give the other ones a bad name.

Dr.Taylor I couldn’t agree with you more..Often, over zealous reporters either in haste or contempt, inject their own bias and subjectivity in a News Article..Sometimes, they just make stuff up..When this happens, it does in fact give The Media Interests that they represent, An Impression that only mirros their own lack of profesionalism.. I am Very Grateful for News organizations such as yours, and am aware of The Positive Difference that Your Newspaper make in All Communities..
